Bryan McDowell, Jacob Jolliff, Mark Schatz, Jake Stargel, and Matt Menefee, bring a rich tapestry of acoustic music, drawing from bluegrass, folk, and beyond. From McDowell’s multi-instrumental finesse and Schatz’s rhythmic versatility to Stargel’s guitar genius, Menefee’s boundary-pushing banjo, and Jolliff’s mandolin mastery, their collaboration highlights both technical brilliance and deep musical chemistry.

An ensemble of virtuosic pickers, the Jacob Jolliff Band tours across the US with mandolinist and lead vocalist Jacob Jolliff at the helm. After cutting his teeth as a longtime member of Joy Kills Sorrow and later Yonder Mountain String Band, Jolliff has set off in a new direction. Featuring tight vocal harmonies and instrumental fireworks, the band’s latest self-titled album marks a major milestone in Jolliff’s evolution and the arrival of an authority on bluegrass mandolin.

Missy Raines & Allegheny
Grammy-nominated artist Raines is one of the most accomplished female bluegrass musicians on the scene today. Currently with her band Missy Raines & Allegheny on the release of their 2023 album, Highlander, the band is a significant nod and return to Raines’ bluegrass roots. The music is traditional and hard-driving at its core while also showcasing Raines’ well-known penchant for originality and innovation.

Bruce Molsky
Grammy-nominated artist Bruce Molsky delivers authentic and personal interpretations of rarities from the Southern Appalachian songbook and other musical traditions from around the globe. Best known for his work on the fiddle, Molsky’s banjo, guitar, and distinctive vocals resonate with listeners.

Where’s Aubrey
Rhine Singleton and Gary McGraw of Where's Aubrey have played together since 1985. McGraw's improvisation on the fiddle and mandolin compliment Singleton's original songs to create a sound that ranges from old-timey folk music to modern jazz.

Jocelyn Pettit & Ellen Gira
Jocelyn Pettit and Ellen Gira are a dynamic fiddle and cello duo. Fusing traditional and contemporary influences, the duo creates powerfully uplifting and soulful music. Interweaving vocal harmonies and lively stepdancing into their live performances, Pettit and Gira come together to create a spirited listening experience.
Furnace Mountain Band
Dubbed the area’s premier acoustic band, Furnace Mountain Band is known for creating music that is at times lively and raucous and other times poignant and poetic, with sublime vocal harmonies beautifully interpreting some of the oldest songs ever written. This local quartet has built a reputation for playing old-time music from the American Appalachian traditions alongside energetic, original compositions.

Irish fiddler, Brendan Mulvihill is joined by Angelina Carberry (banjo) and Dan Brouder (accordion) to celebrate the re-release of Martin Mulvihill’s Collection of Traditional Irish Music.
